Well, not exactly the optimal ending, but one of the best death messages
in the world has to be the response to eating a mushroom in the Laughing
Forest in Once and Future.

Ignoring the warnings of your old mother, you bend down and pluck a mushroom.
You lift it to your lips and take a bite, fervently hoping that it's not
poisonous.  Hmm...not bad.  Not bad at--urk!  The world seems to spin before
your eyes.  Everything grows to enormous proportions.  After things stop
moving, you try to stand up, but find yourself rooted to the spot, literally.
I guess it IS true that you are what you eat.
