Actually, the identical bug occurs in early releases of Zork II according
to the Infocom bugs list when in a room with the blue sphere and the blue
label.  It is described as a parser bug.  For the curious, basically, you
get "which <string of garbage> do you mean?"  I bet it's in other early
Infocom games as well.
