The problem is (trust me, I've been there) that a Mac port is a 
tremendous pain in the ass. You pretty much have to rewrite the top 
levels of the program, from main() to the file-selection and file-loading 
code, because there is no command line invocation.

If you want double-clicking a game file to work right, you have to do 
*real* work.
