Some may be turned off by the frequently juvenile humor, but overall, a
very good game.

You've heard correctly. 'Nuff said.

It's a combination board/computer game, a bit like Milton Bradley's
Creditability (for those of you who've played that). Players navigate a
city map, searching for three items to buy and encountering obstacles on
the way. The location of items on the game board is different each time,
set up randomly by the program, but the map remains the same, and players
use a set of 4 maps that come with the game package. It's interesting as
a piece of history, but I haven't played my copy that much.

All three were released for both platforms, if I remember correctly.
Simon is a lot like the LucasArts Monkey Island/Maniac Mansion games. It
has nothing whatsoever to do with the original Infocom, but it's a good
game in its own right. Mines of Titan is a role-playing sci-fi game.
IMO, it started out great, with a lot of sub-quests, but then disintegrated
into pointless wander-through-the-maze-and-kill-things gameplay. The ending
was thorougly laughable. Circuit's Edge, though, was excellent. More of an
adventure with a few role-playing elements, it's based on George Alec
Effinger's Budayeen series of sci-fi books, very nicely done.

You're thinking of MechWarrior. BattleTech: Crescent Hawk's Inception (and
it's sequel, Crescent Hawk's Revenge) were RPG's with a few puzzles thrown
in.

Anyone know any more about these?

Well, you could switch between characters' POV's.

No, it wasn't. It was scheduled for release, but Infocom folded before it
could be finished. David Lebling has denied the rumor of an unreleased PC
Quarterstaff many times.
