I'm joining the ranks of just-missed-the-comp authors.

I'm looking for a few beta-testers for my hopefully-comp-sized
game--my first [*] focus-tester (trying to win, not beat on it)
took about 3.5 hours with me hinting once and cheerleading a
few other times, but hopefully I've added sufficient clues, and
some of that was due to them not being IF regulars (experienced,
but not lately).

The game requires a bit of fiddling around with mechanical objects
and a bit of interacting with an NPC. For the former, well,
that's obvious. For the latter I'd like to get someone who's
familiar with Inform NPC programming to beat on the NPC as
much as possible, even if that person just uses a walkthrough
to get through the game, leaving non-NPC betatesting to
others. (I'd also like to get somebody to get through it
without hints, but hopefully that will happen naturally;
but I could see divvying it up to try to keep any one
betatester from investing too much time: one to play without
hints, one to try to break everything, one to beat on the NPC.)

Send email if interested in helping me out.

[*] actually second, but saying that would just confuse everyone but him
