I've put together a release of WinFrotz. This is a full Windows version;
variable fonts, multiple color, dialog boxes for alias management, etc etc.

http://www.cris.com/~Twist/WinFrotz will get you there, the release is
winfrotzR1.zip (first link on the page).

WINFROTZ IS WIN95 AND WIN/NT ONLY. In exchange for that requirement I take
full advantage of the 32bit OS whenever possible; it's multi-threaded, uses
MFC (sort of), is friendly about resources and CPU time, etc.

For R1 WinFrotz does not support V6 games, although I intend to do that at
some point. It does support sound and all other versions of the Z-Machine.
This means (as far as I know) it will run all Z-Machine games except for
Arthur (which it runs anyway without graphics), Beyond Zork, Journey,
Shogun, and Zork Zero. It was tested (pretty well, I feel) by volunteers
largely from this newsgroup, who played quite a lot of games on it. I thank
them all for their help.

I hope people have fun using it. Everything you need to get hold of me or
to understand more about WinFrotz is on the web page or in the download.

P.S. Everybody take their hats off to Stefan as well. I never would have
bothered with WinFrotz if the Frotz code weren't freely available and highly
readable. The time involved would have been just too much.
