Reference the last few posts: Yes, all 'incorrect' choices
lead to dead ends. But all correct choices lead to dead
ends as well, eventually.

Perhaps the role of the author is to make certain dead ends more
emotionally rewarding than others.

It may be possible to create IFs in which multiple choices lead
to unique dead ends (ie end states) in which the player finds
emotional satisfaction. This may not be a bad thing.

On the other hand, I think there will always be players who
say "Yes, I dominated the world and now control the multiverse,
but lo, behold! There is still a point in the point total that
I have not acquired! Let's go back..."
